Chandra Gopalan lives in New Jersey. She studied classical music from Sri B. Krishnamurthi and Smt. R. Vedavalli. She is an ardent fan of carnatic music and participates in music events in New Jersey. She teaches carnatic music and lends vocal support to dance arangetrams. She is often accompanied on the veena by Asha Gopalan.
