Pallavi GOpaala Aiyyar - Born in the 18th Century, he served as astaana vidwan at the Tanjore Court during the reigns of Raja Serfoji and Raja Amar Sing. It is known that his brother Sanjiva Iyer was a vocalist and that his guru was Pachimiriyam Adiyappiah. Gopala Iyer has composed many varnams and kritis.
